Committed to Our Community
There is a reason why we based our law practice in Kingston, NY. All of our attorneys are active members of the community, and they each participate in a variety of endeavors in Ulster County and throughout the Hudson Valley.
As a law firm, we contribute to many local charities and sponsor community events. We love to get involved in what’s going on in Kingston, and we love to get out and see our neighbors at local events.
Below are some of the events and causes we’ve been involved with. As well as our photo albums of our attorneys interacting at these wonderful events.
Basch & Keegan are supporters of the Kingston Farmer’s Market, where visitors can buy fresh local fruits, vegetables and more right in the beautiful Historic District of uptown Kingston.
We’re regular customers at the farm stands, and from time to time we’ll spend the day there, giving out free tote bags and informational literature. We’re always happy to give free advice to anyone who stops by our table.
Basch and Keegan were glad to sponsor this fun family event at the Kingston waterfront featuring live music, dancing, and plenty of great Italian food.
Basch and Keegan attorneys John A. DeGasperis and Derek Spada are both members of the Ulster County Italian-American Foundation, so sponsoring this event was an easy call, and the festival itself was a great time!
Basch and Keegan was proud to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Great Strides walk at Bowdoin Park in Poughkeepsie, NY. Joining forces with fellow Kingston attorney Dana Blackmon, Esq., we helped raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to find a cure for CF.
Holiday Events
Basch and Keegan are sponsors of this beloved St. Patrick’s day tradition, which always draws large crowds. Proceeds are donated to local charitable organizations, making this a fun way to contribute to the community.
New Year’s eve in Uptown Kingston is grand celebration, complete with live entertainment and a ball drop. We do our part to help ring in the new year by sponsoring the midnight fireworks display in Uptown Kingston. This free fireworks display always draws large crowds from Ulster County and beyond ranging in age from young children and parents to seniors. It’s great fun, and it helps draw attention to the community.
2018 marks the second year Basch and Keegan is collaborating with The Ulster County People’s Place provide an essential part of the Thanksgiving meal to families in need.
Most food drives do not accept perishable foods which would include the butter needed to make stuffing, so many people will not donate stuffing or butter. So, we struck a deal with the community: for every box of stuffing donated, we pledged to donate the butter.
The very first year, we collected around 500 boxes of stuffing and donated 525 sticks of butter!
Basch & Keegan will be sponsoring The Junior League of Kingston’s 6th Annual Turkey Trot, a This 5k run/2 mile walk held on Thanksgiving day.
This event helps raise money for family-oriented community events and allows The Junior League to offer three generous scholarships to youths in Ulster County.
