Medical records are not a requirement to be brought to the attorney’s office for evaluation in a medical malpractice case. But I find them very helpful because it shows that you are interested in pursuing the case – number one – and number two, it makes it easier for us to evaluate the case.

It is very difficult to evaluate a malpractice case by what people tell you. We can’t really give you a good firm opinion based on that. We need the hard records to see what they say, to see what happened. So yes, I would say it’s always helpful to have hospital and medical records, but it’s not necessarily a requirement.
