Kingston Medical Malpractice Lawyer Video Frequently Asked Questions
Will I need to bring medical records when I consult with a medical malpractice lawyer?
Medical records are not a requirement to be brought to the attorney’s office for evaluation in a medical malpractice case. But I find them very helpful because it shows that you are interested in pursuing the case, number one, and number two, it makes it easier for us to evaluate the case.
It is very difficult to evaluate a malpractice case by what people tell you. We can’t really give you a good firm opinion based on that. We need the hard records to see what they say, to see what happened. So yes, I would say it’s always helpful to have hospital and medical records, but it’s not necessarily a requirement.
