Insurance Claims

We have handled many wrongful insurance denial cases resulting from refusals to pay no fault claims, fire losses and property damage.

We find that insurance companies do not want to pay on legitimate claims.  The motto in the insurance industry is the 3 Ds, which stands for delay, deny and defend.  In fact, a book has been written about these tactics.

Here is a link to Delay, Deny, Defend: (we have nothing to do with this book)

Here is another article about this topic, entitled How Insurance Companies Deny & Delay Claims

We recently obtained a $725,000.00 verdict for a fire loss.  Our clients are elderly.  Their home and its contents were destroyed by fire.  Their homeowners’ insurance company denied their claim and refused to pay for anything, claiming that our clients were entitled to absolutely nothing because they allegedly committed fraud by overstating the value of their loss.  The insurance company’s case fell apart at trial.  Our clients were awarded $725,000.00, which was nearly every cent that we requested.

We also recently obtained a $300,000.00 settlement on a no fault insurance case.  Our client was severely injured in an automobile collision.  Her auto insurer refused to pay for more than $98,000.00 in medical bills.  We sued the insurance company on her behalf.  After battling Geico and its team of lawyers for several years, which included opposing approximately thirteen motions and taking one appeal, the insurance company paid $300,000.00 on the case, which was comprised of about $98,000.00 for bills and more than $200,000.00 for interest and fees.

Call us if your insurance company is delaying, denying or defending.  We can help.
